Trout Lake Assocation

On February 7, 1994, a meeting of a few people was held in Coleraine, to see if a need and adequate interest existed for forming a Trout Lake Association. The unanimous opinion at that meeting was that an association would be beneficial for lake residents and other users. Topics that an association could address would be the algae problem, lake levels, contaminants, and others.

Because of the enthusiasm for an association shown at the February meeting, another meeting was scheduled for June 11, 1994 at the Nyberg Community Center in Coleraine. Proposed by-laws were discussed and approved on September 3, 1994. It was also approved at the same meeting to incorporate the association.

Trout Lake Association (TLA) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) Minnesota non-profit serving as a steward for Trout Lake, located on the shores of Coleraine, MN.
